Come and experience the thrill of piloting a light aircraft!

What's involved?

When you arrive at the flying club we'll give you a warm welcome and a qualified flying instructor will introduce you to the basic controls of a Cessna 150.

We'll also show you a short video about the basics of flight, so you'll know what to expect.

If you have any questions about any aspect of the aircraft or what will happen during the flight, your flying instructor will be there to help you out.

Then it's just a short walk to the aircraft, and you're up, up and away!

During the flight, your flying instructor will be happy to let you fly the aircraft as much (or as little) as you like, or you can simply enjoy the view!

On your return, you'll be presented with a commemorative trial flight certificate, to keep as souvenir of your day.

The flight you've completed can also be logged towards the hours required for a Private Pilot License, if you decide you found the experience enjoyable (we're sure you will).

How long is the flight?

The flight can last however long you want: the shortest we are able to do is 20 minutes, but above and beyond that, it's entirely up to you.  Our prices page shows the typical duration of trial lessons, but we are completely flexible if you have other wishes: it's quite feasible to land somewhere else before returning for the complete experience.  If you are seriously considering taking up flying we recommend the full hour, so you can get a feel for what's involved.

Are other aircraft available?

The Cessna 150 is a 2 seater, but we also have four and six seater aircraft available.  Check our prices page for details.
